Rahul Sharma of the Micromax fame (Co-founder), unveiled RV400, an AI-enabled motorcycle in june, under his new venture, Revolt Intellicorp, a gurugram based company. Now Rahul looks forward to expand his company in the realm of Electric Vehicles.
Electric Vehicles are a fusion of necessity and trend in this era of modern times when the people are switching, to lead the world in a more green way by consuming energy from renewable sources comparatively in high amount than that from non-renewable sources. In this way, the world is changing and so is India. As India unveiled the ‘National Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP) 2020’ in 2013 to address the issues of National energy security, vehicular pollution, and growth of domestic manufacturing capabilities. Reiterating its commitment to the Paris Agreement, the Government of India has plans to make a major shift to electric vehicles by 2030. This Created a scenario of a new market on the rise that is the EV (Electric Vehicles) manufacturing.
With the presence of the pre-existing EV giants like – Tata Electric, Mahindra Electric, Ashok Leyland Electric, Hero Electric, Okinawa Electric, Rahul Sharma joins the league with his new venture Revolt Intellicorp by unveiling its AI-Enabled motorcycle, RV400 in June. It runs on lithium-ion batteries and has an Automotive Research Association of India (ARAII) certified range of 156 km on a single charge. It offers a top speed of 85 km/h in the Sport mode and has an Eco and a City mode for better range. The bike has several other features like being accessible through the Revolt App, which also offers connectivity features like bike locator, anti-theft, mobile swap stations, doorstep battery delivery, preview, etc.
“Isn’t that where the entire ecosystem is going? Whether the government imposes a deadline or not, I feel the time is right to make the transformation and start with two-wheelers to change the game,” said Rahul Sharma in an interview on being asked about his transition of focus from mobiles to mobility that to EVs.
Revolt Intellicorp is the first step in the vision to bring affordable, sustainable mobility to every Indian household. The RV400 is expected to hit the road by September.
