Rapid urbanisation through mobilization can happen only through shared mobility which is electrified. Speakers from India and abroad stressed on this aspect of sustainability which will lead to Sustainable urban development.
Continental Group’s sustainability strategy incorporates the four strategic focus areas of clean mobility, climate protection, circular economy and sustainable supply chains.
A sustainability scorecard covers not only the four strategic focus areas but also other sustainability topics, such as green and safe factories, good working conditions, product quality, corporate governance, innovation and digitalization, safe mobility, sustainable profits and corporate citizenship.
Continental has published a Sustainability Report each year since 2012. The integrated Sustainability Report represents the main medium for its sustainability reporting. The key topics in its sustainability strategy, and therefore the reporting, were identified in 2019 on the basis of a stakeholder survey and further analyses. The Sustainability Report presents the management approach and results, including key performance indicators and other key figures and examples, for each key topic. The company personifies Indo-German collaboration from a wider perspective. Interacting with Prashanth Doreswamy, the Country Head of Continental India Smart Sustain could visualise the future and way forward when it comes to the dream of Sustainable India.
Continental is sure that sustainable and responsible business increases the ability of the company to innovate and meet the requirements of the future, which is a value addition to it. Sustainability is an integral component of our corporate strategy and corporate development. By combining financial and non-financial performance indicators in a holistic approach, the company makes a positive contribution to their employees, to the environment, and to the economy and society as a whole.
