The presence of Prof. Sapna Narula, from the renowned space of Nalanda University, is significant during the 8th Annual Sustainability Conference-India and Sustainability Standards organised by CRB, as she has made immense contributions to the field of sustainability in the business environment through her teaching, research and consultancy efforts.
Smart Sustain, the media partner of the CRB’s flagship event 2021 with the theme: Accelerating and Reinforcing Transformative Change for Societal Resilience, got the opportunity to talk to Prof. Sapna Narula, on the eve of the event.
Prof Sapna has also worked with TERI School of Advanced Studies, the College of Agribusiness Management, G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology where she provided postgraduate teaching and research on agribusiness and food supply chains.
One of the goals of CRB is to engage with the agri-business networks in India and communicate the project’s work to relevant businesses and offer insights and perspectives into the project as it progresses. Nutrition is central to the Sustainable Development Goals and so the TEEB AgriFood project of CRB which aims at biodiversity and contributing to more sustainable agriculture and food sector with the partner countries becomes relevant during the annual conference of CRB.
Youth Empowerment, Youth Partnerships and Youth Guidance are the main objectives of Youth for Sustainability India Alliance of which CRB is a member. Seeding sustainability practices at a younger age is very crucial and Prof Sapna is hopeful that she can do a lot in this direction.
