ECOSTP – Sustainable Sewage Treatment Solution at Pushpalok, Hosur, Bangalore

Zero Power, Zero Odour, Zero Chemical Sewage Treatment Technology

What we do today is going to keep our future flourishing. How is this proven?

Come to Pushpalok community on the outskirts of Bangalore. The residents’ association here decided to switch to ECOSTP when they found the conventional sewage treatment plant implemented by the layout builder failed.

For every challenge humans face, nature shows a solution. Here, ECOSTP team uses biomimicry to solve the issue of sewage treatment which helps to address the 6 SDG’s (sustainability development goals) of the United Nations.

The mission of ECOSTP is to reclaim every drop of wastewater, naturally. With no moving parts and a low cost of maintenance, this easy to maintain technological innovation is managed by an excellent team of experts.

The philosophy of execution of ECOSTP is based on co-creating, co-executing and co-evolving. This means coming together of the people from various establishments to work with an expert team driven by purpose and a clear mission, to solve the huge sewage problem we currently have.

By valuing nature, we can learn and adopt solutions. This helps us learn about ourselves as a part of biodiversity and our purpose on earth. ECOSTP uses the functions of the microorganisms found in the four-chambered, ruminant stomach of a cow to treat wastewater.

The first three stages of this eco-friendly STP are constructed underground and the fourth stage is integrated into a garden or fencing. By integrating into the available space, this aesthetic plant makes life easier and stress-free. This zero-maintenance treatment plant is a game-changer in sewage treatment.

Another remarkable aspect of the plant is the absence of human intervention. A gardener himself can do the needful when required.

Untreated sewage water is the leading polluter of water sources and the open drains cause bad odour and insect breeding which brings in diseases and discomfort. Forget about the days of putrid, noisy, and unpleasant sewage treatment plants, thanks to nature-based solutions.

The inauguration of the STP at Pushpalok Villa, Hosur was done by Hosur MLA Y. Prakash on 27th June 2021. Realizing the need to turn to nature, the residents’ association, with the help of ECOSTP team, made it possible in the community for which they are grateful.

When it comes to sustainability, ECOSTP is the ideal solution for lowering carbon footprint. Smart Sustain team is proud to take this inspirational story of success to the outside world.
