What After Lethal threats For Earth 2019 And Fight Against Global Warming?

In the year 2019, the Earth faced many lethal threats and the most fatal of them all was/is the increasing Global Warming. As the year comes to an end, Smartsustain wants to throw the light of the very fact that there has been along with the increase in Global Warming there has also been an increase in the initiatives, campaigns and projects targeted to control the increasing Global Warming and to eventually decrease it in the future.

  • Indian Railways To Go ‘Completely Green’ By 2029 Indian government planned to transform the Indian Railways into ‘Green Railways’. Piyush Goyal, Minister of Railways and Commerce, presented the government’s proposal in the Rajya Sabha. The Railway is starting to set up solar panels on unused railway lands. Indian Government also targeted the electrification of the railway tracks by 2022.
  • Western Ghats Should Be Divided Into Three Zones:Gadgil Committee –The Western Ghats Ecology Expert Panel, also known as the Gadgil Commission after its chairman Madhav Gadgil had recommended 64% of Western Ghats to be declared as an ecologically sensitive area. It had suggested three levels of categorization where regulatory measures for protection would be imposed and had recommended the establishment of the Western Ghats Ecology Authority for management of the Ghats.
  • Tamil Nadu Uncovers Its New EV Policy – Tamil Nadu’s Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami announced the Tamil Nadu’s New Electric Vehicle policy having objectives like attracting50,000 crores in investments and to generate 1.5 lakh new jobs.
  • Indian Mobility Market To Achieve $90 Bn Feat By 2030 -This new mobility market that is consecutively growing is expected to touch $90 billion by 2030. The Revenue from the taxi cluster is expected to exceed $61 billion by the time, revenue from ride-hailing is expected to hit $43.3 billion by 2025.
  • EV Charging Infrastructure To Be Amended In India –  The study undertaken by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) involved a consortium of consultants led by Ernst & Young LLP to conduct a study encompassing the technical and commercial aspects of sustainable operations of EV charging infrastructure.
  • C40 Cities Bloomberg Philanthropies Awards 2019 India was a finalist.

This Vision is gonna be shared by more than 100 countries soon who will contribute in this act of going green in the ecological sense by 2030 but it might take until 2050. If this happens simply and smoothly, Global Warming can be reversed by 1.3 or some degrees centigrade.
