The International Day for Biological Diversity – Hari Dilip Kumar is Talking to Manjunath Gangadhar

We are part of the solution

The United Nations has declared May 22 as The International Day for Biological Diversity to increase the understanding and the awareness of biodiversity issues we face.

Smart Sustain had a special guest on this day in 2020, Hari Dilip Kumar, who discussed the various aspects of biodiversity and the hazards of losing it, with Manjunath.

From nature-based solutions to climate, health issues, food and water security, and sustainable livelihoods, biodiversity is the foundation upon which we can build back better. That is the main message from the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), a key international instrument for sustainable development.

By using this time to strengthen the resilience, the globe can change the curve on biodiversity loss positively and for the benefit of humans and all other life forms on earth. We, humans, are bound to conserve biodiversity in all possible ways as it is vital for human health and wellbeing.
